Matters arising from the minutes of the June meeting:-

BMCT – RC had been unable to contact Paul Barnes of BMCT after many attempts – matter now closed.       

GPX route files, user notes not yet received from Rob Halliday.                                                                ACTION JW

Email to HW to thank him for the raffle at club nights. Forgotten by JP, HW thanked by the committee at this meeting. JP apologised for this.

FUTURE EVENTS - AUGUST

Thursday 4th        Pub night at the Berkeley at Egdon. JP confirmed the arrgts.
Sunday 7th        Herefordshire revisited. Arranged by Mike Davies. Coffee at Weston’s Cider, Lunch at the Nags Head, Peterchurch, finish at the Hotspur Café, Shobdon airfield. No route sheets, follow my leader. PH to contact MD to see if he can supply details of the route to put on the section website.                                                              ACTION PH

Monday 8th            Bring & Buy Night at the Bell. Arranged by JP
Thursday 11th     Bill Bubb’s Run. RB to ride the route with Bill on 29/7. Coffee at the Neville Arms, lunch at same venue near Banbury. The drop-off method to be used. RB to contact RC to confirm the arrangements.      ACTION RB
Thursday 18th     Breakfast Meeting at the Colliers Arms, Rock. LB confirms all arrangements.

ALLEN HOUSE MATTERS
Still no new member lists so could not welcome new members as we had in the past

PLANNING FOR 2023

RC stated that it was necessary to consider the continuation of the section in view of the ages of the current committee and run organisers. RC to ask new members to the section to see if they were willing to organise runs, it was suggested that if they were unwilling to do it on their own then they could perhaps pair up with another new member. RC also to write to certain individuals to ask if they would consider joining the committee.   ACTION RC

VISITS

RC had two ideas for visits in 2023, the first was for a Scottish tour in June and also a visit to the Llangollen Motor Museum.

CLUB LIAISON

RC reported on two meetings he had recently with chairmen of local clubs who had expressed interest in joining with us for certain events. They were Christopher Parker of the Shropshire section of the VJMC and John Price of the Malvern Bike Club.

WEBSITE

JW reported that the new, located section website would be up and running in a couple of weeks, he would then share it with the committee first before it went live.                                                                                                     ACTION JW

FINANCE

LB reported that the account now stood at £293.61. £10 donation from MS.

The collection of Classic Bike magazines. RC to mention these in the next newsletter.                                      ACTION RC
