Classic Shows are arranging the Malvern Festival of Transport and Classic Motorcycle show on 3/4/2022 and 9/10/2022. They will use the Severn Hall for both events. JP had pointed out that our banners were only suitable for wall mounting and not usable in the Severn Halls unless some mounts of some kind could be found. PH suggested that we should provide cards to place on each machine on display to advertise the VMCC. It was agreed to leave this matter in abeyance until the next meeting.

WEBSITE ENHANCEMENTS

The section’s website had been improved by Graham Walsh, there was no feedback yet of members views on this.

SECTION SECRETARY

JP wished to resign from this position as he was no longer very involved in section activities. He would carry on with the limited activities that he currently does until such time a replacement was appointed. RC would put a note with the AGM notice asking for volunteers for this post and also for committee members. ACTION RC

ALLEN HOUSE MATTERS

We had received a list of members in the Worcestershire post codes that we had supplied them. The total was 205.

SECOND MAN DROP OFF SYSTEM GUIDANCE

We had tried this system on several runs with limited success and it was decided to see if there were any guidelines that could lead to a more acceptable outcome. Roger Bibbings was working on a set of guidelines, RC to liaise with him to see if we could use them in the future. A short video on this subject exists, RC suggested that we could show this after the AGM, agreed. ACTION RC/HW

SOCIAL RUN GUIDELINES

These had been circulated to members and had been well received. Many had confirmed their acceptance of them and the rest would be asked to do so when signing on for a run.

CLUB NIGHT SPEAKERS

RC reported that pre Covid he had contacted West Mercia Police with a view to having a police speaker to present their ‘Biker Down’ talk. They had passed this on to the Fire Service who had advised that they had insufficient staff to do this now. RC had asked Messrs Malcolmson and Herbert if they could provide a presentation on similar lines and they had agreed to do this at a future club night. ACTION RC
